About our style: We use 5 different styles of photography on most every event.
- Casuals: The WOW shots we've become so well known for. Click to view samples
- Photojournalism: Being like a fly on the wall but needing to be very knowledgeable and disciplined so as to be in position to ANTICIPATE the ACTION! Anyone can take a 1000 photos, but getting a good selection is what really counts. Click to view samples
- Formals:Family and requested groups. One reasons so many caterers recommend us is that we get it done and out of the way quickly giving you more reception time. Click to view samples
- Portraits: Some close-up and specially lit images of the bride, bride & groom and a few with the parents and others requested. Done quickly and organized. Click to view samples
- Candids: Photojournalistic style, but we subtly manipulate the action with a quick "look here" or wave of the hand to have them look at the camera instead of getting the backs of heads. Click to view samples

Perskie Photographics is one of the trusted names in wedding photography in the country. Founded in 1889 by Jacob Perskie, whose son, Leon, and grandson, Jay, has succeeded him in the business. Jay's daughters Hannah & Julia Perskie are now just beginning with us as the 4th generation of Perskie Photographers. We are recommended by many vendors as a wedding photographer such as Harbor Magic (Pier 5, the Brookshire, Admiral Fell Inn), The 1840’s Ballroom, Gramercy Mansion, The Tremonts, The Engineer's Club, The Belvedere, Top of the Bay and Sheraton Baltimore North just to name a few. During the 120 years we have been in business we have been chosen as "The Official" photographer to five U.S. Presidents (Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson & Carter – [you may see some of our work in their Presidential Libraries]) as well as many Governors, mayors, and numerous celebrities. We have been named a "Promise of Excellence" photo lab by Kodak and a Fuji “Studio Master” Pro Lab. We started our own Professional Photo Lab in 1974 to insure the best quality and care for our clients. In 2006 we started making the albums right here in our lab. In fact, today our lab has professional photographers from Alaska to Ireland who send their images for our staff to design, print and bind them into the kind of albums that we create for our clients. Therefore, our clients accrue many benefits since we do not need to outsource to other. Our small and excellent staff of wedding photographers go through rigorous training to insure great results and a wonderful experience (see our Testimonial page). In 1997 we moved into our building on Belair road called "The Glass Slipper Wedding Center". In 1999 we began to offer digital art and are now offering more innovative techniques using this latest technology. We use only the finest professional photo paper and materials. Our new digital technology adds a breadth of templates and other artwork features that few are able to offer. Using these new technologies and our staff's eye for detail and beauty, you can be sure that we will make your wedding day one that you will never forget.
